Protected areas are well defined by the Energy Facility Siting Council. A project must account for potential impacts up to twenty miles from the proposed project. This figure gives a high level overview of all the protected areas within the twenty mile buffer of the project site boundary and is extremely useful as a reference when reading the protected areas section of the report. This figure is also from the Notice of Intent that was delivered to the Energy Facility Siting Council in Oregon for the Cascade Crossing project.
