This figure, once again made for a presentation, demonstrates both a more granular and more detailed look at the Whooping Crane migration corridor. The individual sightings are no longer visible but the corridor has been broken-down into ranges representing what percentage of sightings have been recorded along the corridor centerline. This allows one to quickly assess the potential risk of a wind project in relation to the number of sightings and a few key stopover areas (wildlife refuges in this case) which are critical for the Whooping Crane migration. In this simulation Project Area 2 appears to be much less likely to have Whooping Crane conflicts.
